Visit Streetfood market Liverpool

The "Baltic Market" in Liverpool, England, is not a typical restaurant, but rather the city's first street food market, located in a former warehouse of the historic Cains Brewery in the up-and-coming Baltic Triangle. Since its opening in 2017, the market has established itself as a vibrant meeting point that celebrates the diversity of Liverpool's independent food scene. It attracts a colorful crowd – from families and friends to tourists and dogs – who want to explore the flavors of the world in a relaxed, creative atmosphere. The market's concept is based on a rotating selection of street food stalls operated by local independent vendors, providing a platform for culinary talents from the region.

The interior is spacious and industrial, featuring high ceilings, exposed brick walls, and long communal tables reminiscent of beer halls, encouraging shared dining. The decor is minimalist yet thoughtful, with a touch of urban charm that perfectly fits the artistic flair of the Baltic Triangle. Notably, the dog-friendly policy makes the Baltic Market a popular destination for pet lovers – many guests bring their four-legged companions, who are as welcome here as their owners. On weekends, live music or DJs add to the atmosphere, while regular events like flea markets or craft fairs round out the offerings, making the market a cultural hotspot.

Culinarily, the Baltic Market offers an impressive variety, ranging from Asian to Mediterranean, vegan to meat-heavy dishes – there is something for everyone. A highlight is the "Halloumi Fries," served with a sweet-sour pomegranate reduction, known for their crispy texture and intense flavor. The "Char Siu Bao" is also popular – soft, steamed buns filled with savory pork that bring a touch of Asian street food to Liverpool. For meat lovers, the "Pork Belly" stands out, paired with crispy fries and a rich sauce, impressing with its juicy texture. The stalls change regularly, approximately every six weeks, ensuring the offerings remain fresh and varied.

The drink selection is equally diverse, reflecting the market's creative energy. The "Frozen Gin Slush," a refreshing drink with its icy texture and a hint of lemon, is particularly appreciated for warm days. Local beers, such as the Baltic Lager from Black Lodge Brewery, are a staple, emphasizing the focus on regional products. For those with a sweet tooth, there are "Bubble Waffles" served with various toppings like chocolate or fruit, providing a playful finish. The quality of ingredients is prioritized, with many vendors emphasizing fresh, locally sourced products.

It's a street market with a nice concept, you only use one app , and order with the QR code of the table , then an employee will deliver the food you order , really simple and effective. The food itself was simply amazing ! The tacos are very tasty, the burger is very very good , Asian food there is also top quality, I really loved everything I tried ! Very good experience! A bit expensive for street food of course...but the taste... Amazing .

If you're settled at the centre and don't have a lot of time in Liverpool, don't bother walking here. There are some cool graffiti on the way, and the foodhall itself is OK, but nothing special really. Would only visit if there's an event or something. Expected quite a bit more. If you're near, of course, check it out

A few vegan options. There is a vegan burrito option even though not mentioned on the website.

Rather unimpressed with the security trying to usher us out as we were still finishing our desserts. The market is meant to be open until 11pm on a Saturday, and just before 10:30pm, they were trying to get us to leave saying it was closing. Came back 10 mins later saying it was closed and we would have to leave. If this had been round 10:50pm I'd have understood, but they just seemed to want to have an early finish 🙄 they mentioned the box park was still open but we weren't in the mood after that. Food was nice, though had to go with my 4th choice as the first 3 stalls I went to were sold out of what I really wanted. Price to pay for going on a Saturday night I guess!

Don’t usually leave bad reviews but yesterday was pretty bad. Start off we sat down and there were crumbs and sauce on the table so I asked it to be wiped which I was told they were too busy to do so. Pretty mingin thinking that the tables never get cleaned where you’re eating. I ordered food off la bistroteca which I was excited about having followed their Instagram. The chicken tenders looked nothing like and had never seen any seasoning they were bland and dry. The steak sandwich was even worse, no salt and it had really grissly bits which I couldn’t chew through. Would not recommend

It is not what I imagined! I expected there to be food from the Baltic state's. There was nothing Baltic about the place. Besides... around the corner there is Boxpark which I would rather go.

Was told on the app food for the Nashville cluck will be aimed to be served in under 45 minutes, after an hour I asked the staff for an update only to be told they didn’t have an order for my table. After producing my receipt they miraculously now did have my order and was told it would be a 45 minute wait, after already waiting nearly an hour. No apology, no explanation just lies. When the food finally arrived it was strewn across the table completely thrown together and was more than likely by the taste and fact it was cold, been something someone else had returned. Absolutely shambolic service and disgusting food. Waste of time and money.
